Windows 10 Upgrade Notification

Apr 16, 2020
We are fast approaching the end of support for Windows 10 version 1809 (released November 13, 2018). What this means is that after this date, that particular version of Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates. Its free to update to a newer build to continue receiving updates, so over the next few weeks, for those of you who subscribe to our managed services, we will be auditing all devices still on this version and pushing out an upgrade to them to ensure they stay up to date. As a managed services customer, there is no need for you to take any action as we will look after the process for you.

The current version of Windows 10 is 1909, which is the build you will receive if your computer requires an update. This upgrade requires a reboot, so we will be pushing it out to run overnight. If for any reason you do not want these upgrades pushed out automatically, or if you have any questions about this process, please get in touch.

If you are curious about which version you are on, type “winver” without quotes in to the start menu / search box and press enter and you will be presented with a popup showing which version you are on.
