Matt is from Johannesburg, South Africa and moved to New Zealand in 2018 with his wife and 2 young children. Growing up in the city was a great reason to settle in Christchurch where the Alps, country and seaside are all a short drive away. The passion for Information Technology has kept Matthew in the industry for over 13 years; where he has worked as a System Engineer for IT support companies, and an in house IT department. He also owned his own business providing Managed IT Services to the largest reinforcing steel company in South Africa.

After work Matt enjoys spending time with his family, getting outside to enjoy the surrounding Canterbury and flying FPV drones with the local drone society. He likes taking the children out to their sports on the weekends or get involved with the school activities and fundraising. Matt also enjoys relaxing at home, tinkering with his toys, playing games with the kids, watching movies or loosing at Tekken to his wife Lara.
