David is originally from Auckland, he travelled to Otago for a ski holiday that turned into a permanent relocation. David joined Computer Culture, after relocating with his girlfriend from Dunedin, looking forward to new challenges and exploring the garden city.

David has always enjoyed working with computers even back to a young age where he started off with a BBC Micro with a cassette drive and a green monochrome monitor. Fast forward a lot of years and he went on to complete a Bachelor of Information Technology at the Southern Institute of Technology in Invercargill. From there he went on to work at the Balclutha branch for an IT services provider in Otago. Eventually he moved on to the “big smoke” of the main branch in Dunedin, where at the end of this tenure, his role was a mix of management and systems engineering duties. David has developed a wide-ranging skillset from 10 years of commercial experience and being involved in a business evolution process into the managed services space.

In his spare time David enjoys getting stuck into outdoor activities such as skiing/snowboarding, mountain biking, boating and disc golf. When downtime allows, David spends his time on home improvements or catching up on the latest video game.
