Stephen is one of Computer Culture's Consulting Engineers, and entered the IT world at an early age, messing around with whatever piece of tech happened to be nearby, starting with a Commodore 64. He studied Engineering and IT at the University of Southern Queensland and after graduating worked for a small IT company. Here, he worked with everything from printers to routers to servers and travelled all over the Queensland countryside to do so. Since then he’s also worked as an in-house system administrator and has also managed the infrastructure for a global SaaS solution.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys reading everything from modern fiction to theology, and cookbooks to science fiction, or chilling out in front of the TV with a quality craft beer. He also loves spending time with his family and getting outdoors when the opportunity presents, and his currently testing out his green thumb in his own backyard and occasionally enjoying the fruits and vegetables of his labour.
